I have to agree that the printer driver situation is a mess,
meaning that I don't understand it, and cannot recommend Amiga
to my friends because I wouldn't be able to explain to them
why they get slow ugly output.  I hope you guys figure it all
out.

MEANWHILE--how about a plotter driver.  Multi-color pen plotters
are pretty cheap.  Shouldn't they do a great job of both text and
graphics (color) output?

Sorry, I cannot do it.  Just thought I'd suggest it.
