An easy trick to stop the printer if you have made a mistake is to turn
the printer OFF!  Wait for about 30 seconds, a system requester will come
up. Click on Cancel, and the call to the printer device will return to
the program, and you can go on with your work without having to wait
minutes for the dump to be finished (and discarded 8-).
