Message-ID: <3727@teddy.UUCP> Date: Fri, 30-Jan-87 15:00:49 EST Article-I.D.: teddy.3727 Posted: Fri Jan 30 15:00:49 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 31-Jan-87 07:42:47 EST References: <128@sco.UUCP> Reply-To: kdj@teddy.UUCP (Kenneth D. Jordan) Organization: GenRad, Inc., Concord, Mass. Lines: 18 My 800XL ROM is sick. The memory test on the ATARI shows the left hand bar in red (meaning that the ROM is bad). Does anyone know of a quick (and cheap) way of replacing the ROM. Can I burn a new one ? Can an ATARI ROM be purchased at a reasonable price ? I have the ability to replace the ROM myself - I just need a new one. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks ps: I purchased the 800XL a few years back (when it was still quite expensive) so I'd rather not just buy a new 800XL. -- ->Kenneth D.
