Marc Appelbaum claims that Chameleon does not emulate a vt100.
My version (an early one) does not, but I know that later on it
was advertised as a vt100 emulator (complete with 132 columns -- horizontally
scrolled, of course).  I never saw this version, but I assumed that it
existed.
