Can someone tell me what the various forms of encoding (uuencode, arc, squeeze) are for (their actual purpose) and what it takes to decode postings that are encoded? Does *cut* actually mean *start here* or more precisely *delete the above portion of the message before decoding*? If i need programs to decode, where do I get them.
