I am new to the 16 bit Atari world and am confused on how to convert the
posted software to usable code on the ST.

Can someone tell me what the various forms of encoding (uuencode, arc,
squeeze) are for (their actual purpose) and what it takes to decode
postings that are encoded?  Does *cut* actually mean *start here* or
more precisely *delete the above portion of the message before
decoding*?

If i need programs to decode, where do I get them.
