Some especially rare, hard to find new particle. But macroms aren't that uncommon. I read on the net a while back (and I don't remember who or when, so sorry for not giving credit where due) that there were plenty of people at one of the shows selling the roms and apparently having plenty of them. Now doesn't it make sense that if you buy the roms, you have the right (just as you do, or at least should, to backup your software to a somewhat different medium, say hard disk or tape backup) to put the contents of those roms onto a disk (and I'll admit that I have no idea as how to do that) and use them for whatever *personal* purposes you may have. I'm not saying that you should be allowed to copy them to every pirate board you could find; I totally disagree with that. That's why I like the idea of the PD Mac emulator, minus roms. I like PD software, particularly when it is as good as it is for this computer. But I still think that the issue is the same as with software, after all, both the software and the roms are covered by the same copyright law, aren't they? So Chuck, I'm not trying to rip off Apple, I'm just trying to get the most out of what I believe is a very good computer system with many possibilities. Now that I've cleared that up (or so I hope), can anyone ANSWER my questions without questioning the legality of the macroms right now? Please? Pretty please?
