I assume that it is my fault and I am just ignoring something. Any- way, when I send a big string of text to the modem and then hang up right after I send it, the ST will quickly fill up its buffer and then return to my program as if the buffer was actually sent, even when it wasn't. At 300 baud, this happens a lot, with callers getting about two lines or so of text (out of five or ten) and having the system hangup (DTR toggle, so I don't have to send commands to the modem directly) before it is all transmitted. Tonight I changed my program to use RTS/CTS handshaking, but I haven't had a chance to test it. I'd like to know if I'm supposed to use XON/XOFF handshaking or RTS/CTS (or none?) to fix this problem of mine. Thanks! Jim ..............................
