That's fine for his needs, but I've got the 128 with both the 1541 and the 1571 drives on it. I have no trouble with the 1541, but my 1571 is really messed up. I took it into the shop and, of course, they had absolutly no problem with it. About a week after I got it back the problems started again. I think it's the alignment of the heads, but I'm not too thrilled about working on it myself since Sams doesn't publish a similar book for the 1571. Can anyone assure me of the similarities of the two drives or inform me of the differences so that I can make this alignment myself?
