     I don't know if this will be a solution, but try it anyway.
I have a vt100 emulator also, but not the same one you have.  Pressing
the [clr/home] key does cause a xmit inhibit on mine.  Pressing the 
[csr down] key returns you to xmit.  Hope it works for you!
