You can buy a new ROM (I think it's called FiXT) from Golden Bow
systems which lists parameters for many more disk drives, so you
can use your existing controller.  The $ 40 list price is cheaper
than a new controller.

A friend has a controller that can accomodate 20 meg drives, but
it saw 306 cylinders (his drive has 8 heads) and assumed it was
a 10 meg drive - so we still need new roms.
