C-compiler for IBM-PC's Message-ID: <441@brueer.ee.brunel.ac.uk> Date: Thu, 29-Jan-87 14:25:44 EST Article-I.D.: brueer.441 Posted: Thu Jan 29 14:25:44 1987 Date-Received: Sun, 1-Feb-87 05:39:33 EST Organization: Dept of EE & E, Brunel University, Uxbridge, U.K. Lines: 35 Keywords: C cc86 a86 cvt86 Xref: watmath comp.sys.ibm.pc:1313 comp.sources.wanted:408 I have picked up a C compiler for IBM-PC's from a PD software tape. It looks like it would be quite useful, but unfortunately part of the source is missing. The problem lies in the include/sys directory. What seems to have happened is that the directory bit has been flipped off, so that when the compiler was bundled up for distribution the include/sys directory was included as a file, NOT as a directory. So, 'strings sys' prints out a list of the files that would be under sys if it were a directory. So, does anyone out there have this compiler ?? All I need are the contents of include/sys...... Before anyone asks, "No, I don't know who the original author was, or where this compiler came from." I've looked in the sources and can find no reference to any author, except for a mysterious entry in crt0.a86 that reads: Modified 06/26/83 SAW Modified again 09/07/84 PZ + SAW The compiler consists of a cc86 script, c86, a86, cvt86, ld86.
