I can absolutely, positively confirm that they exist, are mass produced,
and have driver programs and interface cards for PC's.  One local company
uses them for their inventory.  While I cannot tell you who makes them,
I suggest just looking up light pen manufacturers and calling them.  I
think this is how the company I know of found them.  Also, try looking
through Byte magazine.  I think they had an advertisement last month
that had to do with light pens/bar code readers.
