If some knowledgeable person would e-mail me some reliable advice, I'd
appreciate it one heck of a lot. I have a Zenith 158. Most hangs you
can get out of with a soft reboot (ctrl-alt-del).

Once in a while, though, it's power switch city (of course, only with
code I got from someone else :-).

My problem is: I'd love to be able to do the power-up reset *without*
turning the power off, since I think it's probably better not to be
spinning the hard disk down and up like that if it can be avoided.

Now I know that some computers have a button for doing this reset, and
I further understand that what I'm looking for is basically a matter of
installing a momentary contact button switch to short out a certain two
points somewhere in the machine. But I'm not a hardware maven, and I've
heard that there is considerable mis-information floating around on this
very point.

So what I'm looking for is someone who's *real sure* they know how to
do this and is willing to tell me. If anyone wants to send warnings
about what *not* to do, that's welcome info too.
