I print documents in Draft mode using the latest IW driver, and the printer gets behind on page skips and the driver says "I'm sorry the printer is not responding". I have the official Apple circular-to-DE9, and official DE9-to -DB25. In between is an extension cord I believe passes all 9 pins. Handshaking is set for DTR on the printer. Does anyone got any ideas? Has anyone seen this? Am I losing a signal somewhere? How is it supposed to work? Incidentally, I've owned this printer for 3 years now, have printed 25,000-50,000 pages (I lost track) in draft and Standard, and haven't had a problem yet. That's a good printer. (I take it back. A case tab cracked when I dropped it 2 years ago, in a real-life forerunner of the 'Bringing their Macs to work' ads.) -- Joel West MCI Mail: 282-8879 Western Software Technology, POB 2733, Vista, CA 92083 {cbosgd, ihnp4, pyramid, sdcsvax, ucla-cs} !gould9!joel joel%gould9.uucp@NOSC.ARPA
