I have the following request on behalf of our Architecture Department.

The school of architecture is interested in improving its CAD teaching
abilities, but we are not in the business of teaching people to operate
drafting systems.

We see AUTOCAD as suitable for this type of use, but would like to run
more machines than we can afford copies of the software for.  Therefore
we would like to know if there is any CAD software out there in the
public or shareware domain.  I have looked through the PC-SIG catalog
and the Houston Area League of PC users (HAL PC) listing to no avail.
