As I've just started programming AppleTalk, I've tried some simple examples
as setting up an ABRecord and then call ATPSndRequest synchronously without
having any responding node on the net. 

My problem is that despite setting timeOut to 5 secs and retries to 3
(a total of 4), it seems as if the request _never_ timesOut (or retries
'peek' only registers 32 packets during several minutes and only one
"shot"). Why is that ???. It worries me a little because I tried to follow
the example in the manual.
