I have narrowed myself down to either a Mac or an Amiga, due to personal preference, software availability, and flexibility. But I can't seem to decide what would be my best decision. All my Mac friends scream, "Buy Mac!!!" My Amiga friends retort, "Don't be silly! Amiga is state-of-the-art." So I ask, what do you people think is the better of the two, and why? As far as price goes, the deals I have are: Mac-plus: Est. $1550 for Mac (1 meg memory), Imagewriter II printer, and second drive Amiga: Est. $1650 for Amiga, Expansion board (512 k), color monitor, and second drive (printer not in deal-- est. another $450 or so) I would appreciate some as-unbiased-as-possible opinions on what my best deal is. Please E-mail your responses to me, and I will tally up the responses and post what the general majority opinion is.
