"Does anyone have a WORDSTAR filter program (public domain) for use on
the Osborne 1.  I need something to download WORDSTAR files without all
the control and spacing junk that is included in the normal WORDSTAR
format."

Here's a quick and dirty solution, using PIP, a program which was
included with your Osborne CP/M disks:

PIP myfile.TXT=myfile.WS [Z]

This will create a file with all the high bits set to zero (that's what
the [Z] option does). Since the high bit is used by WordStar for all the
junk you want to get rid of...
