Last Friday (2/6) the local Shack got in my mod for
the older grey MultiPak to run with the Coco III.
As expected, it is just the 20-pin PAL chip.
Total cost was $10.50, not $7.50 as rumored.
Far as I can tell, it works.  At least it locks out
the CocoMax pak as expected, but disks still work.
Now to see if it prevents the III from mistreating
my DISTO controller... mike k

PS: I intend to install a I/II -vs- III switch as in the
Rainbow article.  Finding a neat place to mount that switch
isn't as easy as it sounds...
