As expected, it is just the 20-pin PAL chip. Total cost was $10.50, not $7.50 as rumored. Far as I can tell, it works. At least it locks out the CocoMax pak as expected, but disks still work. Now to see if it prevents the III from mistreating my DISTO controller... mike k PS: I intend to install a I/II -vs- III switch as in the Rainbow article.
