We have recently got the VMS TeX distribution. When attempting to generate
the CM fonts we get an error message from Metafont complaining about being
out of memory capacity, followed by a stack dump.

Q. Are we supposed to be able to generate the CM fonts with metafont as
delivered?

Q. If not, then what changes are needed to enable us to do so.

Can someone out there help us?
