I just ordered a copy of PC-TeX from Personal TeX which includes the LaTeX macros. I did not order any of the drivers (dvi_to_whatever). My intention is to move the dvi file to a Unix system for printing. Questions: Is a free TeX available for the PC? How about metafont, dvi_to_postscript (for LaserWriter), dvi_to_hercules_graphics_adapter? I assume the PC-TeX package comes with font sizes but no actual fonts, I will need the actual font files on the Unix system. Is there much chance of fonts other than Computer Modern being available? Any comments in general about the PC-TeX package? I must have something no later than next week so I cannot wait for a freebie which is almost ready.
