When I uncompress the file, I get the error message, uncompress: corrupt input. And of course, tar then prints the error, tar: directory checksum error (4 != 40241). Is the compressed file corrupted? Or am I doing something wrong. I transferred the file as an ASCII file. Should it have been type binary?
