I have noticed the same thing with a DN560 with the 190MB disk drive ...
backups (via a tape drive on a DSP80) cause the DN560 to get *very*
slow in responding to the keyboard. Programs that are running still seem
to be getting CPU time, but issuing new shell or DM commands takes 5 to
10 seconds apiece. Our DN460 and DN660's are nearly as bad when they
are being backed up.
