If you have an account using the secondary password .... and it expires .... and you use AUTHORIZE to change the passwords ..... the PWD2_EXPIRED flag is not disabled. I let an account expire and the system warned me of the expirartion just fine. I went into AUTHORIZE and changed the passwords via the MOD ACCTNAME/PASSWORD=(FIRST,SECOND). The passwords were changed but the PWD2_EXPIRED flag was still left lit. The PWD_EXPIRED flag was however disabled. When I logged off the system, the account was rendered useless because the flag is checked first when logging on. It seems to me that if the PWD_EXPIRED flag is reset whem the MOD/PASSWORD command is used then so should the PWD2_EXPIRED when it is also changed. Dave Drake PAXRV-NES ------
