It contained a letter from C.W.Goldsmith, DECUS President, a response from Digital, and a postcard. In order to poll the user community in a meaningful manner, users are asked to respond to the two questions on the postcard (postage paid) as quickly as possible. The brief questionnaire is intended to provide DECUS (and DEC) with an indication of our level of acceptance of the announced policy. This is the only means available for polling the users since the policy is to begin on March 1st, which is prior to the next scheduled symposium. I urge you to respond right away so that we will have an opportunity to tabulate the responses and take appropriate action. Please share this message with other DECUS members at your site so that they will respond also. This issue is important to all of us. Leslie Maltz Chairperson, DECUS Large Systems SIG
