I've been sort of out of touch with info-vax for a while and am just now
catching up, so I wouldn't know if this has already been discussed.

Where does lgi$hpwd live on a running system?  Where is the symbol defined, if
anywhere?  What's the best way to get at it [sort of like crypt() under unix]?
