The handbook is to provide career guidance for high school students, college students and professionals investigating work in computer graphics. The handbook will contain information regarding established categories of computer graphics educational requirements, college curricula, role models and other information as appropriate for career guidance. We are seeking professionals in the computer graphics industry to enhance the information that will be in the careers handbook with pragmatic, real-life professional information. The first wave of such documents will be sent to ACM/SIGGRAPH Local Groups. To get a better distribution of individuals in Computer Graphics, others are invited to participate, and the basis for this transmission. One section will be a statistical analysis of demographic information provided by individuals responding to a questionnaire. Another section will consist of role model papers, about two pages long, describing a professional's getting into, and working in, his or her particular application area of computer graphics.
