Their new album, "Spiral Insana," is pretty good. Starts out with some low organ peddle and gets weird (of course) from there. Basically I'm not going to try describing it much, other than to say that I remember hearing some instruments not usually found on NWW (wind instruments, guitars). The noise is very listenable and fairly dense (as opposed to their extremely minimal work with Organum earlier last year). It is serious, as opposed to all the funny sounds found on The Sylvia and Babs High Thigh Companion. Overall, a good conceptual noise album. But Sylvia is more fun and "Brained by Falling Masonry" is more scarry, so this LP ranks lower than these works. --John
