If anybody else is interested, please honk. I gave up on linear filters some time ago for clock-synch. That's when I discovered median filters, which work like a razor through toothpaste in my experiments. I suspect they would work well for RTT as well. I thought of Kallman and Shannon and etc., but those dudes are all linear. I got to many bent edges. Dave
