What does having Canadian owned (and therefore controlled) distributors for movies have to do with the CBC or any crown corporation? Nothing like that was even hinted at either in my posting or in the Sun editorial. However if you want to bitch about the CBC...... While I think it could be improved I certainly think it is worthwhile for the money. It does provide a sense of cultural identity. When I lived in a little town in Ontario I could hear the same Cross Country Checkup that I heard in Vancouver and it really helped make it all seem like one country. Canada has 10% of the US population; does the CBC cost more to run than 10% of what it costs to run one of {NBC,ABC,CBS}? john
