Prefer to use...or prefer to pay for?  Following your suggestion,
performance may be measured as formatted pages of text per second.
Thus price / performance will be expressed as dollars per pages per
second, or dollars per page-second.  If cost is a consideration,
prefer the lowest dollars per page-second.
