Message-ID: <3942@milano.UUCP> Date: Thu, 26-Feb-87 07:19:31 EST Article-I.D.: milano.3942 Posted: Thu Feb 26 07:19:31 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 28-Feb-87 04:46:37 EST Sender: marks@milano.UUCP Organization: MCC, Austin, TX Lines: 15 Xref: utgpu comp.periphs:239 comp.sys.ibm.pc:1979 I am having trouble installing a Hardcard 20 disk card as the SECOND hard disk on an NCR PC-4 (vintage 1984, DOS 2.11). It will work satisfactorily as the only (c:) drive, but returns "Non-DOS disk format error" when I try to access it as the 2nd (d:) drive. Plus Development, the Hardcard vendor, doesn't "support" the NCR PC (or many others) and disclaims any insight into the problem. Has anyone out there solved a similar-sounding problem? - Peter -- +------------------------------------------------------------+ | Peter Marks, MCC, 9390 Research Blvd., Austin TX 78759 | | (512)338-3349 marks@mcc.com | | {gatech,harvard,pyramid,seismo}!ut-sally!im4u!milano!marks | +------------------------------------------------------------+
