Summary: How do you pronounce PL/I?


I know that Bill Joy himself pronounces 'vi' /vee-eye/, but I still tend
to say /vye/.  I remember a friend in graduate school who, noting that
'PL/I' is universally pronounced /pee-el-one/, would pronounce the name
of its home company /one-bee-em/.
