Superplot is a public domain plot-file format, along with gobs of software. A 3D format is defined, along with 3d to 2d perspective transformations for wireframe data (Anybody got a public domain hidden line/surface routine?). The distribution includes drivers for RasterTechs, PostScript, ImPress, NAPLPS, memory raster, SUN bitmap displays, SUNWindows GFX_Windows, and a very new and largely untested AutoCAD DXF file filter. Additionally, the distribution contains other public domain software and data, along with hooks and filters to hook up with Superplot. This includes the Hershey Fonts, Randi J. Rost's collection of 3D objects in OFF format, and GNUPLOT (version 1.1) with a Superplot filter. The whole mess is available in tar format at 1600 or 800 bpi, if you send me a tape with a prepaid mailer. The entire thing is about 2 MBytes, but that is largely data like fonts and 3D objects. If you want to know exactly what is there, mail me a message. If you want Superplot, send me a tape + prepaid mailer. The default tape format is 1600 bpi tar. If you want 800 bpi or ansitar, tell me. --- Marc Majka - UBC Laboratory for Computational Vision UBC Computer Science 6356 Agricultural Road Vancouver BC Canada V6T 1W5 UUCP: ...seismo!ihnp4!alberta!ubc-vision!majka or majka@ubc-vision.uucp CDN: majka@vision.ubc.cdn CSNET: majka@ubc.csnet
