We currently teach Pascal to our first year Applied Computer Science undergrads. We are tossing around the idea of adding a second language to break the Baby Duck Syndrome (imprinting on the first language). Smalltalk has been suggested, but we don't want to get bogged down in syntax or other details. Lisp has also been suggested (but, MIT experience to the contrary, we think it's too intimidating). Logo seems the simplest suggestion so far. We are of course open to further suggestions. Please mail me & I will summarize if requested. -- ../Dave Mason, TM Software Associates (Compilers & System Consulting) ..!{utzoo seismo!mnetor utcsri utgpu lsuc}!tmsoft!mason
