Well, I guess I must agree with you --- You are right. But I did first read about the Amiga 1000 in an Byte article very much like the one about the 2000 that just appeared. (I think the original A1000 article was in the August '85 issue of Byte --- am I correct?) Anyway, I guess the A1000 was not out then, but, based on what I read in Byte, I did fall in love with it, and the machine did fulfill all my expectations (in fact much more) when I finally got it.
