If you have problems with disks it may be partially due to
the disk drive only being shielded on 3 sides (top,left,right)
and not the bottom. It would be like putting your monitor
underneath the amiga, possible the radiation may invade the
disk drive much easier than having the monitor on top.
Just a guess.
