This was sent to my by Grant Delaney.  If this is right, then my original
posting is wrong.  But I can't understand how I made such a big error.
My friend's drive works fine, and I made it the way I described it.  The
only thing I can think is that I counted the pins in the wrong way.  Anyway,
I hope I didn't cause anyone's drives to blow!
