UC Berkeley Lines: 25 I just bought a Supra 1200at and darned if the documentation is meagre! What little there is claims that this is, in fact, an Avatex 1200. It only came with a piece of software called Smart Terminal, which is neither. I would really like to be able to edit files remotely, and am sort of willing to write the emulator (though i'd rather not), but i have no clue as to how to send the modem commands. The modem came with a single serial -> rs232 converter (it's a serial cable, then a little box, then the rs232 cable). I've tried making the RS232.COM file from Indus Dos 2.35i the AUTORUN.SYS file on a disk, but the R: handler either isn't loading or isn't installing itself. Does anyone have a real terminal program for the Supra 1200 (great!) or at least know how to let me talk to my modem without using Smart Terminal? I used to think i was a pretty competant (sp) programmer, but this tele-communications stuff leaves me baffled. Any ideas? mahlen p.s., the modem commands run like ATDTphoneno and >A. Does this protocall look familiar or have name? "If you smile too much, your neck will melt." "If you nech too much, your smile will melt." Barrington graffiti p.p.s, Does anyone know the net address of Atari? I think an old friend of mine works there. Mark Cerny, where are you, this is your past calling....
