Dennett) Organization: Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY Lines: 25 When I dial in from home with my 800XL and chameleon I have noticed something peculiar with the backspace key. When I have the shell prompt (I guess that's what you call it) the backspace key causes a control H (^H) to be printed to the screen. When I am in vi, the backspace key actually backspaces. When I dial in from work, I use a Hewlett Packard terminal and the hp2626 termcap. At the shell prompt, the backspace key backspaces and erases. In vi, it just backspaces. In fact, I am using the HP terminal now along with vi to compose this. It would be nice if chameleon would at least actually backspace when I am at the shell prompt. It would be nice if it erased, too, but that is really not required. Does anyone know of any additions or deletions I can make to the chameleon termcap? I looked at the termcap manual page and the entry for the hp2626. I tried a few things but nothing worked. Thanks.
