That corner seems to be expendable, as witnessed by the number of computer/programs which put clocks and other things up there. Myself, I don't see the need for indication of ramdisk activity -- it happens so quickly you might not see the indicator anyway. If you stretch out the indication to make it visible, you'll slow down the ramdisk. Speaking of indicators, however, has anyone modified their (external) floppies so the LED is connected to the drive select line instead of the motor-on line? I have seen a few systems (not ST's) that work this way. The LED is then much more indicative of activity.
