  As far as I know, it is.  Yes, those are the original authors--
in many areas, this game is known as "Crowther and Woods Original Adventure".

  Various versions floated around on DEC 20's for a while--when I was in
college a version floated by, and was modified extensively to include about
200 more rooms, and all sorts of puzzles.  The source code to this game was
once published in one of the computer magazines as an April fools joke
(They printed it in incredibly tiny print so that the entire listing took
four pages!)
