Yes, the battery is bad.  It is not rechargable and when it goes it is gone.
There is a company in North Miami Beach Flordia called Amperfax who sales 
a battery upgrade kit for the 7300 that will fix your problem. The cost is
~ $20.00 and is installable by you. I dont have their phone number here so
you will have to ask information for it. Please tell them where you heard 
about them(newsnet).
