Message-ID: <243@octopus.UUCP> Date: Fri, 20-Feb-87 03:45:14 EST Article-I.D.: octopus.243 Posted: Fri Feb 20 03:45:14 1987 Date-Received: Sat, 21-Feb-87 04:37:16 EST Reply-To: pete@octopus.UUCP (Pete Holzmann) Distribution: world Organization: Octopus Enterprises, Cupertino, CA Lines: 21 I need to debug a large program. It fits in various debuggers if I strip all of the public symbols out (with EXEPACK). It does NOT fit if I leave the symbols in. I'd like to be able to strip most of the symbols (the areas that I'm not debugging) so that I can debug the silly thing. Does anybody a) Know the .EXE file format, so I could write a program to do this b) Have a program that accomplishes what I want (Using the load map, I could specify an address range for symbols to be stripped, or something like that). Please mail responses. If there's enough interest, I'll summarize any answers to the net.
