I have seen reviews of this modem in a number of the magazines that I read that
are specific to the Heath/Zenith world, so if you don't follow them you might 
not have heard of it.  From what I've heard it's a very good modem, and at 
least one reviewer I know (also a prof at UNC (?) ) swears by it.  I think 
that you might be able to come up with a USR for around that price now, 
however.
