Regarding the query: FinalWord II (Mark of the Unicorn/ FW Corp.) will, if you like, check your spelling as you type, and has lots to offer as an text editor and formatter. Regarding the follow-up: I think Word's spelling checker is Oasis's The Word Plus. Word Finder is its thesaurus. +j
