I had been using a DOS 3.2 parition in the first 32 mega-bytes (cylinders 0-549). In order to install Advanced Netware 286 on the disk I wished to reduce and move the DOS partition to cylinders (550-853). After I created the Netware parition in cylinders 0-549 I found that DOS FDISK would not allow me to create a DOS partition beginning at cylinder 550. FDISK failed with the error message "no space for partition". I understand that bare PC-DOS cannot create a partition larger than 32 MB but I was surprised to see that FDISK would not allow me to create a smaller partition (11 MB) starting just beyond the 32 MB limit. Have I forgotten something? If possible, please reply by mail as our news feed is somewhat intermittent these days. Thank-you. -- UUCP: {seismo|watmath|utai|garfield}!dalcs!aucs!wdw BITNET: {wdwvax|wdw}@Acadia Internet: {wdwvax|wdw}%Acadia.BITNET@WISCVM.WISC.EDU
