I guess that from the wording of my request, I did not make it clear to the audience that my lan will only be supporting PC's at this time. I have received many replies suggesting products from Sun to connect my PC's to some Unix box acting as a file-server. So let me make it clear now: I need information about connecting PC's to other PC's with facilities for sharing disks, printers, modems(?), and any other peripheral device that you can think of. I would like the file system to be as transparent to the user as possible. For the average user, he would see his PC as a standalone machine... I would also like to ask at this time, that those of you who recently sent mail to ...seismo!columbia!mammoth!m-liu to please resend it to the UUCP address posted below. We have been having some disk problems and I lost two notes already. If at all possible please reply to my ARPA address. The reply that I wanted most, that was lost, said something about Ungermann-Bass. Would you please resend to the new addresses. Thanking you all in advance!
