BTW, it does have 1 expansion slot (so I was told) and Atari has plans to sell and expansion box with additional slots and maybe room and power supply for a hard drive that will plug into the existing slot. The $500 price is for the machine without monitor... If you want their multi-mode mono monitor (auto detects color signals and synthisyzes gray-scale substitutions to display the color modes) the machine+monitor is ~= $700.
