The only additional material I received with the purchase were a checkout sheet for the disk (which identifies the bad sectors) and a 2-page set of instructions explaining how to format the disk (this also contained technical data about the controller). The vendor claims this is all that they send. I have the following questions: 1. Should I have received any kind of registration/guarantee form for the HD, controller, or both? 2. What about "utility-type" software? More product info literature? 3. What about parking the head (as a matter of course, as opposed to during transportation)? I've heard that some of the newer units automatically park the head at power off -- is this true of the ST-238? Is routine head parking a wise thing to do?
